I’m paying $5 for any decent microwave or mini-fridge.
No hassle! Free pick up from your dorm room!
To arrange pick-up, call me (Mark): 307-421-1500
I will also save you the trouble of disposing of your unwanted cinder blocks, lofts, and televisions.
I like to think of this as a service to students (incoming freshmen who can get a fridge for $30, rather than renting for $40 or buying new for $120), and doing one small thing to help make MSU more sustainable (saving appliances from the land-fill to have them reused!), while making a little extra money for myself!
Every spring, it’s the same thing: students moving out of the fill over-sized dumpsters everything they’ve used for 8 months and will never use again. Dumpsters fill up with perfectly good televisions, mini-refrigerators, mini-microwaves, cinder blocks and 2×4-construction lofts.
It’s painful to see so much waste–knowing that, next fall, students are going to go out on move-in weekend, and buy the same microwaves and 2×4’s that students are throwing away now.
So I’ve decided to try to do something to help. I’m buying microwaves and refrigerators, and collecting lofts and cinder blocks. I will clean them and store them for the summer, and then attempt to sell them next fall for very modest prices. It’s a little extra income for me, it’ll save students money this fall, and it’ll help prevent our landfill from being filled with TV’s.
