Some people’s kids…

So, as I sit at my computer lab monitor perch, I am given the amusement of seeing two blond girls, working on a paper. The one of the left has an empty bottle of Diet Snapple Iced Tea.

Diet. Snapple. Iced Tea. Has Snapple really sunk that low? I’m a little confused– Iced Tea, by my understanding, has about the same nutritional content as water. Now how does one go about making that diet? The answer, it seems, is simple enough: print “diet” on the label, and without fail, obnoxiously skinny blond girls with entirely too much make-up will buy it and drink it.

Hmm. Troublesome.

In other news, this week is going to be the terrible and not-so-bloody end of me. I have two tests on the later part of the week, and I’m already quite behind. The terrible thing about having a cold is that if one’s motivation to get up, go to class, do one’s homework and so on is marginal to begin with, well, things just don’t happen. Hopefully I’m on the upswing. At the very least, the sclera of my left eye is almost completely white again, and I suspect that my right eye will be soon to follow. Whoo.

The weekend was nice– it was good to see my parents, and we got to eat some super good food. Along those lines, the more I see of Bozeman, the more I love it– the whole “Bozeman” mentality of things. Perhaps I’ll elaborate later.

Anyhow. Tonight I get to see Salman Rushdie speak (!!!) and hopefully I’ll do a bit of homework. I suppose I should pry myself away from this wretched computer and actually go do my job for a change.

I am a god of music

I decided a few days back that I should share my music on the network via iTunes. I finally got around to getting things set up. About 10 minutes ago I started the process of importing my music into iTunes. It’s been cranking ever since, and I get the impression that it’s going to take a while yet to put all of my 145gb music collection on the network for download with ourTunes and myTunes Redux.

Sharin’ the love. Whoo!

New York, New York

Ah. Saturday morning, and by 10:24AM I’ve already been productive. My parents are up for the weekend. They came in on Thursday night, and Friday morning we got up and went skiing at Big Sky. The conditions were great, and it was a warm, full and fun day of skiing. Even my pink eye didn’t stop me from enjoying myself.

Oh yeah, did I mention? I woke up Friday morning with a bad case of pink eye (probably contracted from my trip to the elementary school the day before to mentor my brats– we’ll see if I ever do that again =P ). I ignored it for most of the day, but had it checked out when I got back to town. The kind doctor gave me a perscription for some anti-bacterial eye-drops, and I’m gradually getting better. Whoo!

In the mean time, I’m giving my mom the official tour while my dad is off running 12 miles. I’d better get going.

Third Surfer

Despite being sick, my life is made pleasant by my three current simple pleasures:

1. My yo-yo.
2. Piano.
3. The Fellowship of the Ring
–I can’t believe that I haven’t read the series before, but at the same time it’s better this way: the timing wouldn’t have been appropriate before.
3.5. (Because I said three above, I guess I really can’t have four) Braddigan
–Give a listen
